A call for applications for a postdoctoral position is open at the Institute of Mathematics of the University of Campinas.
The research will be carried out under the supervision of Prof. Christian Rodrigues on the topics of the project “Geometry and Probability in Dynamical Systems”.
The project is funded by the Max Planck Society (Germany) and will be developed
in cooperation with the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in the Sciences.
More precisely, with the group of Prof. JA˜ ¼rgen Jost.
The research project is focused on geometric properties of probability spaces and
their applications.
• Research topics include: Analysis, Geometry, Optimal Transport Theory, Ergodic Theory, Probability, and Stochastic Calculus.
• Candidates must have a PhD in Mathematics or related areas (or are expected
to complete a PhD prior to the beginning of the scholarship) and strong research
potential in some area of the project evidenced through recent publications.
• Duration: 12 months renewable for 12 months.
• Stipend: BRL 7,000.00 (tax free). Funding for scientific activities is also available.
• Starting date (flexible): May 2026.

1. A research statement, briefly describing your experience with the research topics
described above and full contact information, year of conclusion of your PhD degree, and supervision.
2. A research project (up to 5 pages) related to the research topics above.
3. Copy of your CV.
4. Arrange for 2 to 3 reference letters to be directly sent to rodrigues@ime.unicamp.br
before the deadline.
The selection may also require an interview.
