Job description
We are looking for talented and self-motivated PhD students joining our group for the following positions.
PhD1: This student will examine how agricultural drainage affects the carbon cycling and greenhouse gas emissions in boreal peatlands.
PhD2: This student will study how vegetation dynamics and microbial dynamics are affected by climate change and human disturbances in boreal peatlands
PhD3: This student will develop a method to map peatlands/ponds and estimate/model peatland biomass and C storage in the province of NL and how they may be affected by projected climate change and human disturbance.
PhD4: This student will study how human activities and/or climate change may affect the heavy metal mobility in boreal peatlands in NL.
