PGSM Master : Applications We remind young women that they are more than welcome in scientific courses. We therefore strongly encourage female students to apply for this program. The PGSM program includes two calls for applications. The first call for applications for the 2026-2027 PGSM program will be open from November 3, 2025, to February 3, 2026. This call is exclusively for students in mathematics and theoretical computer science who are studying at a university outside of France. Click here to access the application form. Important: applicants must also apply independently for the Master's program. The second call for applications for the 2026-2027 academic year will be open from February 23 to April 20, 2026. This second call is exclusively for students who have completed a third year of a bachelor's degree (Licence) or the first year of a master's degree in mathematics or theoretical computer science within the FSMP network by the start of the 2025 academic year. Exceptionally, we also accept students from French universities outside the FSMP network, provided that the type of program they are considering is not available in the region where they are currently studying. During these two calls, certain scholarships with additional criteria, co-funded by our partners, will be awarded. Information about these scholarships is available on this page. Application File The application is submitted via an online form. You will be asked to provide the following documents: Curriculum vitae Motivation letter Academic transcripts and Bachelor’s degree (if applicable) Academic transcripts and Master’s degree (if applicable) The application file also includes one to three recommendation letters from professors who know you. You will need to provide the email addresses of these professors in the online form. They will receive an automatic email allowing them to upload their letter. You will also be asked to indicate one to three Master's programs you would like to pursue from the eligible programs. Candidates are strongly advised to clearly state their mathematical preferences and professional plans in their motivation letter, as well as how their Master's program choices align with these plans. Important: In the majority of the proposed Master's programs, all or most of the courses are taught in French. Upon being accepted into the scholarship program, who are not comfortable with spoken French are encouraged to take French courses and to improve their French before arrival by watching movies, listening to the radio, or using self-learning methods… French intensive courses will also be offered by the FSMP. Candidates are encouraged to provide any comparison elements (ranking, competition standings, rankings in national or international competitions...) that would help assess their application level; these elements must be supported by official documents. Once the application is submitted, you will receive a confirmation email with a code to keep. You will have the option to log back in and complete your application. Only complete applications will be considered. The integrity and authenticity of diplomas and recommendation letters are subject to a systematic verification process. The jury reserves the right to interview any selected candidate. Master’s application Obtaining the PGSM scholarship does not constitute enrollment in a Master's program. It is essential that applicants complete their enrollment procedures in parallel. Please note that the application deadlines for Master's programs may be much earlier than the PGSM competition acceptance date. Applicants for a PGSM scholarship at the M1 level must apply through the Monmaster portal starting in February 2026, in parallel, if they are eligible for this portal (this includes students from European countries). For certain countries, it is mandatory to apply through the Etudes en France portal before enrolling in a Master's program (caution: check the application deadline on the portal).
