PhD position in Mainz

The position is for three years, and to be filled as soon as possible. It will be associated with "Project A12: Algebraic surgery and enumerative geometry". The principal investigators are Tom Bachmann and Sabrina Pauli, respectively at the universities of Mainz and Darmstadt. The doctoral student will be co-supervised by them (but formally employed in Mainz). Applicants should have a masters level background in algebraic geometry and classical homotopy theory; some prior exposure to motives and/or enumerative geometry would be ideal.
