Postdoc emergent principles of leaf morphogenesis
University of Massachusetts Amherst
USA
Deadline: Sep 25, 2026
Details
The Yadav Lab in the Department of Biology at University of Massachusetts Amherst is recruiting a postdoc to investigate the emergent principles of leaf morphogenesis.
Our lab will study how genetic, epigenetic, hormonal, cellular, and biomechanical processes interact across scales to shape developing leaves. We are especially interested in how regulatory networks influence cell growth, cell wall properties, tissue mechanics, and organ-level form.
Applicants with formal training in cell wall biology, mechanics, and/or mechanical modeling are especially encouraged to apply.
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to help shape a new lab from the beginning, work across plant biology and engineering, and prepare for an independent research career.
