The Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago (Chicago, Illinois) invites applications for a postdoctoral Principal Researcher (PR) position. The PR is expected to conduct research at the intersection of operations research, theoretical computer science, control, and optimal transport to work with Prof. Bahar Tașkesen (Chicago Booth School of Business).
By the start of the appointment, candidates must be ABD (All But Dissertation) in mathematics, applied mathematics, physics, operations research, computer science, or a related field, and possess a strong foundation in optimal transport, optimization, algebraic and linear methods, and advanced probability. The PhD degree must be completed by the end of the first year of employment.
The term of appointment will be one year with competitive salary and benefits and the possibility of one or two additional years contingent upon the availability of funding and satisfactory performance. The term of appointment may commence anytime on or after summer 2026.
